A first client was a major milestone for our new company, and we are happy that we reached it with Maria Middelares!
We were honoured to be selected by AZ Maria Middelares to support their sustainability ambitions. As a long-standing leader in sustainable healthcare, their commitment sets a powerful example for the sector.
In February 2025, NZHI launched a sustainability audit in collaboration with Evelien Van Poucke and Isabel Verniers. The first phase, a CO₂ scan based on our proprietary tool covering 10 domains, has been completed. The results provided a clear picture of the hospital’s main emission sources.
We are now working together on a science-based Roadmap 2030, outlining targeted improvements in process management and the implementation of sustainable alternatives.
Let this be the starting point to decarbonize the Belgian healthcare sector, and beyond!
